人間の可能性は無限。
これは私の信念で、私自身も、命ある限り、自分の可能性に挑み続けていきたいと思っております。
このホームページをご覧になって下さった皆さんの中にも、自分でも気づいていらっしゃらない素晴らしい力が潜んでいます。私自身、精神科医として30年、理事長として18年、隠れた力が大きく引き出され、皆さんの先輩が輝く様子を、たくさん見て参りましたので、声を大にして、申し上げることができます。
人間の可能性は無限。
そして、可能性を伸ばすには、きっかけとなる経験の機会がたくさんあること。安心して人間関係が構築できる環境であることが大切で、佐久長聖ならご満足いただけるものと自負致しております。
ぜひ佐久長聖にいらして、自分の可能性を伸ばすことに欲張りになってください。
There are two things I want to convey.
1. About the school slogan
Our main motto “A global Saku Chosei” has led to a large number of young people playing active roles in the world. To achieve our sub motto “English Saku Chosei”, we have put in numerous efforts in acquiring practical English. Specifically, we have opened TOEIC and TOEFL courses to get students ready for the new type National Center Test for University Admissions. We have also invited internships from our affiliated university in the Philippines with English as its official language to enhance the students’ speaking skills. Private Skype lessons from foreign English teachers are available too. We are working hard in creating an environment where students can emerge themselves in an English world.
Furthermore, we are moving forward on reinforcing the foundation of students who can play an active role globally by supporting their further studies in overseas universities and strengthening our ties with affiliated overseas educational institutions.
2. What I value the most
Courtesy, endurance, sincerity are our education goals. We create a place where students and staff who gather at this institution can be thrilled and excited. As a psychiatrist, I have always believed that humans can only maximize their performance and gain a great sense of satisfaction not when they “have to” do something but when they “want to” do something. Excitement arises when you are driven by this desire to “want to” do something. Sadly, grown-ups live a life of “having to” do sorts of things. However, both the principal, Mr. Sato and me do not belong to this majority group. We are people who want to do things. It brings about confidence and we want to make Saku Chosei full of “want to”.
